My highlight today was speaking to the director of my company on Whatsapp. I was intensely distressed and called three employees who didn't pick up the phone. I called the director, and she said she had a sore throat and was overseas. I then proceeded to explain my problem and she said please message Whatsapp group and another lady would take care of it. This is rather funny considering it's usually bosses calling employees outside of work hours and here I was calling her outside of work hours.

Yep, I'm getting used to the posts and I've been on here for a while now. @Spitfire1

One thing that I've learnt is to limit myself to 4 threads thereby not trying to juggle too many.

I'm not always successful though!

I generally try to focus on the thread title eg. Highlights, Song, Toolshed, and Tabaluga (which I use for more general purposes)

You do what works for you!!

@Spitfire1 I'm lucky to have cats but get my dog fixes from other people's dogs. Its good to have a few critters and friends. I also talk to the birds a lot. Maybe if I am nice the maggies wont swoop. lol

@Taali Yep, people are better than bots, at getting to the bottom of stuff, even boring ATO stuff. Tick. Yay! Its great you could visit your friend and help her be a bit active and social even if at home and unwell. It is hard watching people suffer. Not for the faint hearted. Good on you.

Mine was being warm. Having a good session. Being able to complain about the dude who did not show and be heard on here. Thanks. Helps me get over it, cos I can spiral, with the issues from that organisation. Learning a beautiful song. Using it like a mantra. Had yummy lamb, barley and veg soup for lunch and dinner.

One of my appointments was from a survivor foundation for historical institutional abuse for me. She was good. @Taali

The other was from an organisation that is related to systemic harms done to my son. The family is stuck in a trauma loop, and the harms are signifcant. I can really cascade, as small mistakes have had big impacts on my family historically, and are being played out with my son's struggles. I did my very best to try and stop the trauma leaking through to the younger generation, but it was beyond me. Weirdly I had another rellie on a Protective Services call yesterday. Its almost woo - coincidental, it is 4 generations that have experienced Protective Services intervention. High trauma and high trauma attracted couples... have outcomes ... eg my brother and I, then his son ... and my son ... its just a lot. Thanks for being so supportive on here.

Unfortunately the system has inherent flaws 😞

And you can't in reality protect your young people from being impacted.

You can provide them with guidance and support by caring for yourself first.
