What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

Thanks for your reply to me and for being so reasonable in your explanation of the posting situation. I must admit that I was quite upset to think that my posting had caused a problem to anyone.

Like you said I didn't want to miss anyone while at the same time I didn't want to cause any grief.

I'm now simply limiting my posts to the few people that I think welcome them 😊

My house is a detonation zone. I'm going to tackle the cleaning kitchen today. Just making my heavy metal detox smoothie at the moment

Get that detox smooth into you and then get stuck into the kitchen. You might be surprised at how much you can do!

Then aim for a little treat afterwards.

I usually have to put music on while I tackle chores

I had to drag myself to the sunrise this morning as well as having a shower and walking down town. I'm tired and have no motivation. I always feel better after doing those three things. Anyway, here's some photos of the sunrise...

Hello @Taali I've broken the back of the kitchen today. Feeling like I've got some (?) semblance of order but I must admit I am a messy person 🙃 Am sleeping well which makes all the difference. Bright blue light from screens is a no go! Garbage collection is out. The local council is giving each household more bins, got glass bins and vegie scraps bins now. They should be dropped off fairly soon. I'm happy about that as I hated throwing out glass and it felt weird putting kitchen scraps in green waste but thats what councils told us to do. Wanted to send plastic bags to special recycling plant but its a subscription of $50/month for them to collect. Hate throwing out plastic bags. Got my tropical liver rescue smoothie in the food processor. Will clean the sink and that will be all for today

Sleep really does help doesn't it?

Well as for my highlight ✨️

I got through the Aged Care system well. She was really very understanding and supportive

Now I just wait for confirmation email and organise a provider or check to see if I can keep my guys on under the package.

So all good so far!

Off to lunch now and feeling better
