Hey Everyone! How has everyone day been?

My highlight today has to be getting some vitamin D and some warmth from the sun ☺️☀️. It also included a walk with my girl and seeing hermit crabs. I see them often but today did take a pic however this was was far away so I’ll get a better pic another day ☺️

How was your walk today with your dogs on national greyhound day? I bet it was a lot of fun!! When do you get to find out the final numbers of how many made to the walk? That’s so cool you have been doing it for so long! Do you know any others that walk too there? 😊

Cute hermit crabs @Chasingsunsets ! A family member had pet hermit crabs when I was a child. 😊

My local had approx 100 sighthounds - that included Italian greyhounds, whippets, greyhounds, borzoi, and possibly some other sighthound breeds. On top of that there were a few other sighthound-companion dogs (i.e. live in same household but are not sighthounds themselves) along for the walk too. 😊

I think the red-hat gnome is my favourite too. He has more expression and also he has a pot plant which is very fitting. He was from woolies/Coles, where as the other 2 were Kmart.

I want to make them "fancy" somehow - like a pattern or something?? But no idea what still. No inspiration yet. So maybe they will stay plain for now... ideas welcome by anyone.

All good! 😊 and yes the shift went okay - I did have an interaction that was quite a heavy one but it didn’t affect me. It was a good learning experience for me especially during a placement shift, and I was able to learn a lot from it. The good thing about dealing with these sorts of interactions early on is that it’ll help me be able to use and apply those same skills later when I get to face/deal with similar interactions in any of my future shifts. It’s a lot better when you even have your placement supervisor be there to supervise you throughout the whole shift, including during your interactions with each of the help seekers. Oh yes I love the pot plant too 😂. I am not very arty so probably not good to give you ideas lol but I can’t wait to see and hear the progress they are looking great!!

Hey @Blackcloud oh yeah I can only imagine how heavy they could be, I can also appreciate the the worth of you being on the other end and how beneficial for both parties it will be, you listen to them and assist them and they without knowing are helping you in a way too. It’s a nice way to look at I think. Thanks for keeping in touch 😊
