What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

i don’t know how old you are - you probably have hair a mess of tight blond curls with a face 20 years younger than your actual age but

however

this I must admit is how I manage my days as I sort out my life forward for the last years of my life. I’m 59 years old in November. My dream is to watch the world go round …….

i need a pet that reminds me I’m he complete focus of their lives. I have a dog. I think @Bunniekins abd @Glisten

abd @Emilia8 have it right too -

no cats for them but rabbits and dogs. I love cats but we don’t feel at ease with each other I want all their attention. It’s deep rooted in me. I think @TAB has a cat called cat.

i call 'cat 'varying names' use phrases

they know what Im saying most of time if they choose to do what I say ha ha

vet forced a name out of me,so said 'dogga' as in dogg wogga hogga which is lesser used phrase that used to used on last cat til 19 years ago when it passed

I'm in my late 40's. I don't know where all the time went, but getting older is kinda liberating. I want to thank you for always remembering me. It's very sweet.

My highlight for the day was going shopping for my nephew, I got him some walkie talkies for his birthday, I think he is going to like them.

Good morning everyone!

Hmm, my hightlight from yesterday...well, one of them was getting my official plastic card for my MR licence (already had the digital version, but this one I can point at and wave in the air!). Its one of three new helpful cards - my blue card, MR licence and my Driver Authorité (sorry, but Cartman says the word better on Southpark;P). Have a great day you lovely people you:)

Hi there everyone. Hope you slept well last night

My highlight was waking up and realising that my dream was in fact just that, a dream! Phew....

Now I've got to talk myself into going to lunch [removed by moderator]

Don't know why I don't want to go, except that I have found the fact that these events usually ended up with drinking excessively

Oh well, I'll see how I go if I go....

What's everyone else up to?

I got some excellent advice from @TAB and @plasma0 last night on the Nightshift thread about where to find my favourite dishes in Adelaide so will look into that today
