What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply @MissGremlin . To be honest with you, I was quite emotional yesterday as well. I was feeling let down and felt angry, sad and lonely. A lack of sleep does create a huge impact on our lives. I can't imagine how you can cope without sleep! My sleep is broken often throughout the night and is shorter than it used to be, probably because I'm getting older. I hope today is a little better for you, my friend! Much love 💜

@heartathome it's completely ok sweet. That's alot to sit with and i hope today is feeling better for you. I'm not coping with the lack of sleep. Things today are feeling very heavy and I'm dealing with the after affects of my own actions. I'm safe, about to start a new diamond art which funnily enough reminds me of you from something you say often. Sending love and hugs sweetheart ❤️.

Hope Amidst Hopeless

The best part of living
is not merely surviving
a mind in constant strife,
such darkness in our life.

Rather each hard-won victory
adds strength to our ability.
For the night cannot keep away
our celebration of the day.

For the darkness we left behind
did not captivate our mind
once again to embrace the light
after passing through our night

I think we often give ourselves a really tough time when we disappoint ourselves @MissGremlin! I know we wouldn't be so hard on anyone else! You've got me really curious about the diamond art you're about to start and how it reminds you of me from something I often say. Hmm 🤔

@heartathome Hello lovely. How are you? Must have been beautiful watching the boats. Hopefully you were nicely rugged up and warm. Do you live near the beach? Looks very pretty.
