What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

Hey @Taali, photos need to be approved by moderators before they can be seen which is why you will see an image icon but no image. Usually they are approved quickly but sometimes you may see the message before that happens. Hope this helps 😍

@PeppyPatti I'd be inclined to take him to the vet but up to you. I am not a fan of keeping wild birds if they are adults. Even getting chicks is risky, my pink and grey was never as friendly as a domestically bred one. He fell out of his nest into my back yard and had hardly any feathers on him. He had also damaged one of his feet so he wouldn't have survived in the wild. He was tamer than a wild one but I was never able to fully domesticate him. I'm a bit of a greenie when it comes to birds and animals 😍

my highlight is that I have finally finished my studies, assessments and all. Now all I have to do is wait for the official certificate saying that I am now qualified to play with records and manage information!!

I think @DownMoreThanUp deserves extra props for waking up with no depression. Good start to the week my brother xo

meet our new friend - ou r dog found him and he was a bit under the weather.
we will keep him/her tonight then off the the wildlife place tomorrow morning. Husband is freaking out that they won’t take care of him because they are thought of as not really rare ——

Good to know, I really can't stand thinking that I've upset anyone.

My self flagellation kicks in pretty quickly and severely until I make amends.
