What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

What have you seen today? ☀️💛🙏

I’m good thanks @DownMoreThanUp . I slept for 6 hours and the hypomania has gone away. Will go to local shop to drop off clothes I don’t want to charity bin and grab a few things at the supermarket and maybe treat myself to a cake from the bakery. Glad to hear your depression has lifted.

@Bunniekins Thanks yes i hope so too. Mind you i slept just over 5 hours for i went early to bed last night. 5 hours for my first sleep i consider excellent, but often no more comes after that. Be nice to get a few more hours tho been very short for a long time already.

Good to hear you are visiting your mum today. i wish i could visit her as well. She turns 92 in 5 days time. i have not seen her for 6 years. The day dad blessed my wife and me our goodbye, was my last day with her as well i think.

He died the year thereafter, during the Covid scare, if i remember rightly. We could not come and bury him. Although we did have a video link to watch his funeral. A cold Winter morning it was. Mum missed him like anything, although he had moved into care a year or so before he passed away. So she did get used to not having him around daily. She did, at the time still visit him on her push bike, almost daily, but feel sick soon after dad died with heart issues. They had a rocky marriage but did end up loving each other deeply later on in life. Which was good to see us kids watching on. i know him blessing me almost knocked me of my feet, we did not really ever get on and had never expected him to do that. i remember being deeply moved and my sister filming the event but her camera had no sound on so we could not hear him speak watching back, but we both remember being deeply moved that evening. He still talks to me at times but in my head. Mainly good stuff now tho, which in itself was a real improvement our relationship. On the weekend when i was crying he did not even mock me that must have been the first time that ever happened. As a kid he used to mock me big boys don't cry, i believed him fro many years unable to do so. Now i much rather cry than loose my trolley.

Anyhow have a great day.

love is so powerful it endures beyond death's deadly grasp not letting go loved forever.

@DownMoreThanUp hey DownMoreThanUp thank you for your kind wishes re mum. yes i understand your feelings re your dad. i also had a fractious relationship with my father and indeed was happy when he finally passed i am sorry to say. maybe things would have changed if he wasnt a drinker and he had lived longer who knows it is what it is i am just glad that my children have a wonderful dad who loves them deeply. that part i got right.
