What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

Hey guys,

My highlight today was having my 3 children and their 2 fiance's over for breakfast. Hubby cooked. We served croissants, hash browns, bacon, eggs and pulp free orange juice. My daughter had sweet French toast. This was the first Mother's Day celebration in four years that I have had all my kids at. My daughter recently came back from overseas where she was studying.

After breakfast we played Muffin Time and started a game of Joe (a made up game that the kids came up with). One of my son's left with his fiancee and the other ones' fiancee had to go to a waxing appointment but they came back. We played a full game of Joe and then I gave them some of my extra Lite and Easy meals to take home with them. Overall it was a very good day. We couldn't celebrate Mother's Day yesterday because one of my son's is a chef and it was a very busy day for him at work yesterday.

@Oaktree Glad you had a decent celebration with family. Its not the date that matters but that it is respected somehow....

I felt pretty blindsided yesterday by a msunderstanding in a clinic yesterday. He told me to "get out". I did an attempt at REPAIR at the rupture in the doctor relationship, and saw him again this morning. He was joking. I am/was so vulnerable. My feelings of worthlessness are mammoth, and easily triggered. Anyway glad I reality tested and checked, I could not leave it hanging. Anyway he has committed to being my Gp, and he is more than decent, which is why I couldn't square the "get out" statement with everything else that had transpired.

@Appleblossom Apple sweetheart, I did not realise you struggle with worthlessness, I always thought of you as a strong person. I am so sorry you struggle with these feelings, I completely understand and for your GP to make you feel that way is horrible.

I pray your GP treats you much better, you certainly deserve more xoxoxo

woke up with what I think is the flu 😜. Haven’t been able to get many pics lately so seeing them is also extra special 🙏🌈Also love love love you pic of the pelican, he let you get pretty close to him haha. They are beautiful birds I really like them 🥰
