@GezzaP I tipped the Crows for tomorrow's game. I've always had a fondness for the Crows. I tipped Port to win, but it was close at least.

I don't watch Freo games, every time I do they lose!

I have Foxtel so can watch the games too.

This is the first time I've joined a tipping comp. My pharmacy set it up and I've been having fun with it. No money involved which I like too!

I used to have Fox but it got too expensive for me @ENKELI . I miss some Fox programs especially sports and the BBC news. Maybe when I get a part aged pension in a few years time I’ll be able to afford it again. Got the satellite dish still.

Didn’t go for third walk as was raining not much but didn’t want to get wet. Put ugg boots on and chilling watching footy. Puss is asleep high up in her tall cat tree that goes almost to the ceiling.

@GezzaP yeah Fox is getting expensive but I don't drink, smoke or go out so it's my primary source of entertainment. Back in the days when I worked for Telstra I used to get a 30% discount on Fox as it was (until 2025) part owned by T. I miss those days!!

Not good to get wet when walking, I am still fighting off this blessed head cold and it is frustrating that I used to get over a cold within a few days. This has been hanging around for over a week now.

Watered the garden, it's my time to daydream and pray for the people who have plants named after them.
I am going to get the Greek salad assembled, aside from the fetta and dressing so it's one less thing I have to worry about in the morning.

I still haven't made spanakopita like I planned, will have to get the cheese again for it.

Moggie sounds like he/she is a tree dweller. Mine are both ground dwellers, especially Gypsy who is almost 18 and arthritic. She mostly sleeps in her little cat bed or outside in the sun these days. Mal is either on my bed or my brothers', depending which is warmest.

Essendon are ahead ot the Giants at 3/4 time. I despise Collingwood so will hope cats win. @ENKELI . I’m not in a tipping competition this year. I did make a bit of money when the Crows won their two flags. I seem to be lucky with competitions and lotteries. That’s why I buy x-lotto tickets when I can afford it. Once won $10,000! The game between Essendon and the Giants is close.

Had a good convo on the train about the footie being a little similar to saying the rosary... He got that football is like religion in Melbourne.

I feel gently detached but love it when people really love the game and can talk about it. My son went to a match with friends and got some footie kulcha too.

I really didn't think the Bombers would win this game, my pharmacist will be insufferable if they do! He's a Bombers tragic, has a calendar, pen and even a piggy bank to show his pride! I've no doubt he's watching and yelling gleefully!

The most I ever won was $100 on lotto. I don't usually buy tickets because I don't win. I think God wants me poor and humble!! He got one right 🤣🤣🤣

@Appleblossom Going to the game is really something else. You get so caught up in the excitement, even when your team doesn't win. I went to a Dockers game and they lost. This is why I don't watch them. I am bad luck to them! Lol!

@ENKELI I am on a super pension so I’m better off than many but some fortnights are tough if I have lots of bills. I get no concessions. I do own my home so can’t complain really though maintenance can be expensive.

When I get older I will get a part aged pension and the pension card with all the concessions that come with that. I should be fine then. Meds add up and the bills never go down. I drink and smoke like the evil unhealthy soul I am. Never mind we all have our vices.
