What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

@PeppyPatti hey PeppyPatti i did it one as in gave myself a number 1 and it felt great. when it grew back it was so healthy. frankly i belive every woman should do it at least once in their lives.

I had my head shaved once and I just shudder to think of winter and a cold head @PeppyPatti @Bunniekins . I guess a beanie will fix that. 🙂

Got thermal gloves too @heartathome . Went up into the mountains and glaciers on the South Island. Went to southern most island which is a bird sanctuary too. Wasn’t too cold. Thinking of going back later this year to visit friends in Auckland on North Island. Want to see friend in US but I’d be deported or detained by ICE.

Ahh. That's a shame about the US ICE situation @GezzaP . Can your friend come here to see you? The South Island, glaciers and mountains must have been amazing! You'd be enjoying this cooler weather, hey? Do you still get up early, go for your walk (rain permitting) and attend to your garden/ plants? 🙂

My back is playing up and I can’t walk as far as I used to same with gardening @heartathome . Back plays up when I’m stressed. Going to acupuncture for back next week. That works the best. Converting garden to lower maintenance garden now. Veggies will get taken out and replaced by natives, succulents and cacti.

Both of us @GezzaP I used to travel there. My brother lives in SAN Fransisco and when he’s not being scammed by his girlfriend in Vietnam he flies to Perth to tell us he hates living there then he goes back.

but he won’t listen to anyone because he knows everything.

I honestly had to google pie-makers cos I couldn't picture it at all!! Hehe looks like a sammich toaster or jaffle maker!

I have harnesses for my kitties! They hate them lol. I used to let Trixie wander around on a very long rope/harness but she'd just end up getting herself in SO many tangles ahaha

Going a bit slow tonight, so slow I'm responding many days later! Teehee 😝
