What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

Hey @Jynx, lovely to see you around 🙂, hope you have had a good evening 😊. Ahhh so Trixie is your challenging one hey haha. My mate has cats and they were getting into her couch she end up buying sticky stuff so when they would claw it they don’t like the feel lol as the spray bottle etc wasn’t working. The appear harder to train than dogs, well possibly not really trainable 😂😂


I do find it funny that dogs are more than happy with toys and cat gets toys with drugs in them 😂😂. I did not know that catnip was in the family of mint that is pretty cool actually thanks for that bit of knowledge I hope it comes up in a trivia question one day 😂😂.

oh yess and my responses I don’t know I keep changing the way I work through responses so it means sometimes I go from my recent other times I go from longest I really need to just have one way to do it maybe they I’ll be less confused 😂😂

That’s so cute @heartathome yesss Indi eats veggies too 😂. She likes cucumber, broccoli, zucchini carrot sweet potato to name a few!! Well done Polly being a vaccum like some other of your fury friends here @MissGremlin Casper and Indi lol.

@SaltwaterSoul So glad you felt supported yesterday. Wishing you much healing and further insight. Trauma related mental illness is sure a complex road to recovery. So glad we are both on that road and have seen improvements.🤗

Hi,

My highlight is that it is my middle child’s 30th birthday today. We are having Texas Bbq for dinner. I am getting the share plate for 2 with my hubby. Looking forward to trying the brisket. Can’t believe two of my kids are 30+ now!!! I feel old.

It was good, I enjoyed the company more than the food though. We were up late last night because we had to go pick up daughter and her car after 10pm. She didn’t feel confident driving that far twice in the same day. She is a new driver. She got her license in December 2024 but hasn’t driven since. Her first time driving was Tuesday. Hubby took her for a bit of a drive and he said she is fine and is being really careful so I am trying not to worry too much.

@SaltwaterSoul A big Happy Birthday to you. It sounds like a good shift within. May your year ahead be blessed with many good moments. Yes trauma shapes us, but finding a way to respect it and our adaptations, and be able to be open to good possibilities seems key.

My highlight today was a great conversation with my nephew and son on the phone. Grateful.
