What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

Hey @ENKELI lovely to see you as always! I know super super lucky!! I think it was in there for an extended amount of time as-well 🤯 as I went away for a couple of days and she was having a great time with her doggy friends. Then just thought she did what she normally does and had started her on the usual eye drops- as I could not see a thing, then finally it poked out the most tiniest bit under her top eyelid (and under her third eyelid) and straight to the vets not yet knowing what it was only that I saw something.
still cannot believe it. Her eye wasn’t scratched either, incredibly lucky, the vet and and I were stunned, something so big, eye looking fine and that she wasn’t trying to paw at her eye and no swelling. Crazy.
Indi has had a few others- but for the amount I hane pulled out of her she has done well. She had one that went into the webbing in her paw that wasn’t fun but the eye one has scared me the most I’d say!

How are your two fury friends, dreaming about birds lol. I hope you have a lovely weekend too, are you getting up to much?

@Chasingsunsets yeah it's fab!! For stuff like soup maybe not so much lol but even things like risotto goes alright if you sprinkle a bit of water over it first!

My week is gonna be pretty chill I think, gotta go to the pet store at some point to pick up a new scratching post for my wee gremlins, do a bit of cooking (yay for soup weather!), probably find some time to have a lil dancey dance 😋 Standard Jynx stuff!

Hope you've got something to look forward to or that will nourish your soul this week too! 💜

@Chasingsunsets just popping in to put my 2 cents worth in about air fryers. I bought one many years ago when they first started becoming popular. I didn't use it enough to justify it so it ended up going to the op shop. I bought a convection/air fryer last year and have used it a lot. Both my bestie and mum have air fryers and they use them more than the normal oven these days. What I love about the convection fryer is that it is self cleaning - just put some water and dish drops in and away you go.

I read the movies you have watched and nodded to each one. I love the old black and white classics. Have you seen Gaslight?

I also liked All About Eve, though I think that was in colour. There are a few Marilyn Monroe movies I watched back in high school when I was doing an assignment on her in my drama class.

Love a chilled weekend @Jynx 😊, your cats will be very happy with there new posts! Indi loves small cat soft toys it took awhile for me to click (not being a cat owner) some toys have catnip in it 😂, wonder if it works on dogs lol. She likes toys in general but I got rid of the cat ones haha.

Thanks for the air fryer tips and ideas, much appreciated ☺️. What kind of dance do you do?
I had plan to do some meal prep but that didn’t happen which is a bit annoying but that’s ok got to go with it lol.

yes, I do actually ☺️, I am really looking forward to get back to scent work with Indi, we go back to our first class in forever, tomorrow. I am really looking forward to it. I love doing stuff with her. If she isn’t in the car or with me it’s a pretty empty feeling. 🐶🐾

I walked half an hour on loose sand this morning to get to my coffee. What a slog that was! I'm taking the road tomorrow. 🙂
