What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

@Mustang67 Hello lovely how are you? I am not sure if she will pull through. She’s having strong antibiotics at the moment but the infection she has is from a disease. She’s 13 this year. In two weeks if she survives we go back to vet to check her thyroid and bloods again. Vet said when a cat is so sick the bloods can show thyroid is working well but can be incorrect. Her kidneys, liver, heart etc are ok. It might be her thyroids.

If it’s not her thyroids I’ll be unable to afford X-rays and ultra sound. I’ve spent every penny I had to get her treatment in intensive care.

She had started eating which is good. She’s gone on kitten food to give her extra nutrition and so she can put weight on. She’s not out of the woods yet but I’m doing everything I can to save her.

Im a mess. 😞 I love her so much.

@Cuddlebear I feel for you and can understand the love that you have for your cat and how you will do everything you can to help her. It is good that her kidneys, liver, heart etc are ok, hopefully her thyroid is ok as well.

I pray that she will pull through and start to get stronger day by day.

I remember feeling so scared when my cat was bitten by a brown snake on a Sunday. The closest emergency vet was 40 minutes away, and I wasn't sure if she would survive the car ride to the vets.

Then straight of the bat, I had to come up with $750 for the anti-venom before they would do anything. She was in intensive care for 3 days and I went to visit her, to give her some love. But it is not a nice feeling when you don't know if they are going to pull through or not. So, my heart goes out to you ❤️

@Mustang67 ha ha I am the same as you! I have to make sure everything is correct or it messes with my brain. I'd stress out if it sent something totally different to what I meant!!

@ENKELI I like to make sure it is punctuated properly.

My partner sends messages with no commas and it drives me crazy. I try explaining to him that it changes the contents of the message, but he doesn't seem to care. Lol
