What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

What have you seen today? ☀️💛🙏

Honestly @Ruby26

I love your honesty.

as I’m sitting here having a coffee in a cafe

thinking about @Glisten weight training

@Bunniekins organising her cooking for the day with children

@AuntGlow doing her work and I think studies

remembering my own very small journey

I am reminded of myself when I think of my oldest son ( he is very busy living his life)

He’s in therapy !! But at 35 yrs old I can see the same feeling towards me that I have to my mother coming out but thankfully he is realising is wrong. It’s very hard to let him go so he can work it out.
you can’t turn back the clock.

what I did was I was in such a bad first marriage although I paid heaps of money for therapy for him - he was angry at me. I wasn’t able to be present for him.

He’s well educated which is good but my youngest son doesn’t want to spend time with him because my youngest sons life is difficult —

I can only suggest as I say to myself just live your life try and stay present. 💝 feelings run deep -

please don’t think I know anything but really it’s about your value as a person and how you feel that’s the most important.
I am very slowly doing an embroidery because I am going to be so proud of myself when I finish it.

I don’t know if I would ever ever be able to care for my mum. Fortunately for me my youngest brother is working hard showing off he is always there for her. He sitting to get her popped into a nursing home so he can get her home. I find the whole thing hilarious. He has cut my brothers and myself out of his life.

thanks for message

you are needed

Highlight TODAY?
Walking around the shrine and going up to the gardens to head into Melbourne cbd for some work sponsored brekky and coffee

Down here for a trip for work

Yesterday highlight? Meeting clients and speaking to them about what we do. Reassured me that our work is doing something positive.

Every time I've been to melbourne it has marked some sort of milestone in my life. Different stages.

Like a friend you see every 2 years and pick up where you left off.

Life aye?

Hi everyone,

My highlight today was finding the courage to attend an art and craft workshop. It has been running for a few weeks and is free to join, but I haven't felt brave enough to go on my own, especially since I couldn’t find anyone to attend with. It’s been a while since I’ve really put myself out there, the last time was nearly a year ago when I walked up to the volunteer project and asked to be involved.

My strategy was to think of it in small steps, 1. Get into the car. 2. Start driving. 3. Find a park. 4. Walk towards the building. 5. Go inside. At one point I almost turned back, but then I approached a few women standing outside and asked about the workshop. They were friendly and welcoming, which helped me feel more at ease, and they encouraged me to come inside. Suddenly, I was part of it, and I felt quite shaky and nervous, especially as many people already knew each other. At the same time, there were a few new faces, and I felt more comfortable connecting with them.

We began with a short meditation to help us transition into a creative mindset. This was especially helpful for me, as my heart had been racing hard. As the art/craft activity began, I slowly relaxed and found myself getting lost in my artwork..😍

The time passed surprisingly quickly, and before I knew it, the session was coming to an end.
I thanked the group for welcoming me, and they invited me to return next time. Despite the negative background noise and other challenges happening in my life right now, I felt brave today. I felt seen and acknowledged. 🙏

I wish you all a peaceful evening 😊
