my day's going good so far today @RebelliousAngel how about you? I'm about to have my next volunteering shift in 3 more days, after 2 months since my previous one (which was my very first shift) I know its so long haha, but now I'm ready to go back to it and join again!

@Blackcloud great to hear that your day has been good so far. My day hasn't been too bad but I'm feeling a bit emotional and down tonight, hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Wow that's amazing that you are going back to it after 2 months, are you looking forward to going back?

@RebelliousAngel sorry to hear that you're feeling a bit down right now. I hope whatever you're going through right now will be a better tomorrow for you too ❤️ and yes I'm quite looking forward to going back to being on shift after having a 1:1 chat with the volunteer leader to tell her about my concerns/worries and anxieties relating to my first shift that prevented me from wanting to keep showing up on booked shifts. It was even to the point where I thought it was best for me to leave volunteering. I even emailed the volunteering team about it, but gladly, I was given an opportunity to have the 1:1 chat with the team leader, even though she respected my decision of wanting to leave if I chose to do so instead. But I'm so glad I didn't and that I chose to have the 1:1 session with her. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to continue volunteering and be able to show up to shifts. 🙂

@Blackcloud thanks 🩵. Just gotta remember to breathe and trust that everything will somehow be ok.

That's fantastic that you were able to get that 1:1 time so you could discuss your concerns, worries and anxieties, it's so important that you feel comfortable and heard. It sounds like they value you and want to have you as a part of the team given that they are helping to support you so that you can get back to volunteering with them. I hope it all goes well for you and that you will enjoy it 🙂

@RebelliousAngel thanks so much, I appreciate the kind words ❤️ yeah, the volunteering staff team are great and other volunteers as well I think - it's a remote job, but still very nice! 😊 Yeah, it'll be my second shift ever so I hope it all goes better than the first one haha. Just need to think that the more I do this, the better I'll be able to develop some skills and eventually those skills will come out naturally overtime. It's a lot frightening when it involves having to chat to help seekers on shift in real-time 😅

Well I hope it all works out for you, it sounds like it's something you want to do and that the team are amazing to work with. I understand that fear, having to talk to people can be incredibly hard. I'm sure that the more you do it the easier and better it will get 🙂

@ chasing sunsets pooky has way too much cute for one dogabd drama to match but hes me mate,

taking him vets tommortow to get him okayed for attending group with me when DBT spot is available just waiting

i may have to skip the to start coz hes me mate and not giving him away for training, confident will find a way once he worked his pookiness im sure aha

@ rebbelliousangel im sorry your down today, very sorry im late at saying hello, shame you dont know how i felt to be thought of like that, as with you all if you knnew your thoughts caused another to feel a sense of belonging maybe it put some shift on things from where you at.

anyone i missed im sorry, rough week bad headspace kids testing me changes in support network and big assesments simultaneously and a post not working set my head full of noise its been hard to quieten.

this is really feeling like a safe place for me, sorry if my absence caused feelings of not being interested or ignored its never happening like that
