What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

My local supermarket opens at 7.30. @Shaz51 The bigger ones at the shopping centre open at 7am.

My highlight this morning was that after decades i finally have times i'm feeling content, thankful and relaxed again. One of these times i had this morning. Sitting outside with my wife seeing the sun come up drinking a cuppa.

My mind has calmed down so incredible much the last few weeks. No voices. Only little anxiety, a few trauma memories but not as intense as they have been. No welling emotions, nor any need to suppress them. This is sure awesome to see after all these years where i basically longed to die most of the time.

Ever since my merging started 9 years ago things have began to improve for me in real time, albeit slowly and really only noticeable over a whole year rather than from day to day. Now that my raging has stopped i sure leap forwards with leap and bounds. Thank God!

@Oaktree I hope you get to find time to ride

I'd love to be able to ride a motorbike but they are taboo in my family. (My brother and also a cousin both met their demise on bikes. My cousin silly boy was riding at night without lights so he was at fault)

Having said that one of my girl friends has been riding for 30 years. It gives you a freedom that cars can't.

My highlight of the day - that is easy. My workmates gave me a bunch of flowers as a farewell thank you. 😍🤗

@PeppyPatti by now you would have had your hair done, sorry I am late in responding. I don't drink much anymore so I don't know what a good wine is.

I would love to get my hair done professionally. It's been nearly 10 years since I had my hair done by a hairdresser. Ex friend used to trim and dye it and I've been doing it myself since I moved back home.

I bet it feels wonderful 🥰

My high light today was waking up from our rooster at 4:20am [edited by moderator]. Yet after i got over spitting my dummy i realised i slept for 6 hours first time in ages and that there was no need being angry.

(At least the dogs will enjoy dinner tonight!)
