What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

What have you seen today? ☀️💛🙏

Helloooo @Chasingsunsets,

And goodness, me too - don't get me started!! 😂

What is it that you love so much about sunsets?

It's so fine!! 🫶

I hear you... and trusting the process is sooo much easier said than done. In saying this, what is one thing that helps bring you closer towards a sense of trust?

No, thank you so much for sharing! And you're definitely right about the 'chain reaction'; how certain experiences/diagnoses can impact each other. It's so tough... especially the PMDD/ADHD dynamic.

I wonder what would help you to feel safe enough to explore therapy again?

Harnessing it is bloody challenging haha but I am working towards it slowly. Maybe it's helpful to know that all of this is simply a consistent process of self-reflection, compassion, curiosity, and growth?

My pleasure!!

And that's okay, that's why I am here. ✨

How was your weekend? 💛

@Appleblossom My highlight today was feeling so very much better than i have for the last week. My wife and daughter were wonderful company, now just increase my energy levels sleeping a little more and i should be fine again. (till next time i meet a rocky road on my pilgrim journey forward.😁)

i share you an interesting story that happen 18 years ago

We had two dogs, one was our son's a Rottweiler and the other ours a Golden retriever. Anyhow our son turned 17 and got himself a four wheel drive and we hardly saw him for he loved surfing and every spare minute he be floating somewhere on his board. The problem with Rottweilers is however that when you do not spend time with them they can become impossible. This one did. And he became an escape artist taking our faithful golden Retriever along with him. The reason? He knew we had a Kangaroo family on the block and he loved chasing the females and young ones.

Anyhow we got fed up with him so we gave him away with permission of our son for he could not be bothered with his dog at all any more.

Anyhow one day soon afterward we got rid of our son's dog and when my health nurse was on a home visit (they still did that in those days.) The Male swam across our dam without anyone noticing. Our golden Retriever lay in front of the door sleeping and there he was soaking wet. Rearing on two legs going straight for our dog.

Boy did we get a surprise when we heard our dog bark and then race of seeing the roo come for him tail between the legs. Luckily we had another door i could get him in the house before the roo got to him again. He stood in for of our door for 20 minutes, with me hoping he would not jump through the door with our dog safely inside. Thank God he didn't but left the same way he came.

One of the culprits upsetting this boy on the right, shaking his fear. Our dog NEVER chased the roos again after that. Although he did still escape a few times before we were able to put a stop to it. Have a look at the size of his toe nails and you can see why!
