afternoon spent relaxing in front of tv

I spent the afternoon talking to a local. He gave me a lift home which was nice. @Chasingsunsets . Was out 3.5 hours.

@Chasingsunsets speaking of frappes, i did get a coffee frappe - along with hashbrowns (i love my potatoes) and a mcspicy wrap 😋 did you end up getting a frappe or sushi?

omg i love when cancellations happen at the right time, the universe knew you needed the rest day!! well with errands and washing, maybe it won't be a lot of rest, but better than nothing!

today i promised to make my sis burgers at home, so i gotta hold up my end! then i might go for a walk and maybe clean up a lil (my rooms a MESS).

@Chasingsunsets I'm sure my lack of too-long essays were noticed 🤣 lol.

I am mostly over the cold that I got upon return from my holiday. I deliberately scheduled in rest days during the holiday and at the end before returning home so that i wouldn't be too tired out from it before having to return to work - and I am glad I did.

The burnout build up was slow over the past few years, and got a lot worse abit over a year ago due to some workplace problems. Then I got extra-burntout when I had an adverse reaction to a treatment a year ago, and whilst I have recovered from the adverse reaction I then had more workplace problems mid-year. Whilst the past 3 months have been fairly drama-free (apart from my partner leaving lol), I have still been carrying the burnout with being able to address any of the underlying fatigue or mental health. I am hoping to take some time off early next year to focus on recovering to get back to "neutral". The only thing that has helped in the past when I have had worsened MH is to have extended time off from work.

Today I caught transport down to Melbourne. And it is so nice and cold now there! 😍 (Highlight of the day, along with a tasty dinner of Dumplings with my relative I am visiting).

@Chasingsunsets it was too short but relieved to get back home because wherever we’re staying I had to pee outside and there was a drop toilet and lots of goat pooh in the bathroom where shower is.
unfortunately I can’t pretend to live in a shack. I like toilet paper and air conditioning and goats living in a paddock too much

Oh yum! I love hash browns too 😋, I got a frappe and I also got sushi and had it for dinner 😋😋.
surprisingly my day was productive, I am still feeling a bit flat and brain not functioning but stuff got done which is is definitely a win for me!

How did the burgers go? Hope they were good! We went for a walk, was a bit hot so didn’t stay long as we went for a park walk. Bed soon I think!!

Sorry to hear about the burn out stuff and the adverse reaction to treatment. Sounds like you have been through a lot but still rising above, tackling the challenges which is a real credit to you my friend. Your time off next year sounds like it’s something you’re looking forward to and hope it’s what you need to help recovery of the next stages.

Oh @PeppyPatti that is quite an experience re the bathroom situation wasn’t it!! I agree I do like a bathroom with four walls, flushing toilets etc!!
