Diet starts tomorrow. I bought heaps of fruit and vegetables today so I have no excuse! And no more shortbread waaah!!

I am feeling ok today, some social exercise and got some things done.

It's been a nice day, sunny but not too hot. Was looking at my trees and listening to the birds chirping earlier, then listening to the wind in the trees, which was nice.

I am retired now (I sometimes still do the odd thing, here or there), but yes I did a couple of stints of unusual hours in my life. I quite liked working on weekends and having days off in the week, because you could go to the bank or shopping when there were less people about. Now of course you can do a lot of that stuff online so it's not so much of a thing.

I've had a few different main jobs in my life, as well as the working, lots of different part-time jobs at times. I've worked since I was 14 years old, I have pretty much always worked, even when I studied at uni I had part time jobs. I have also studied quite a bit, a mix of full-time and part-time study. So a couple of different shift work jobs, but it's probably best not to say.

That’s awesome you have retired! Hats off to you! I hope I reach retirement, maybe ☺️. Yess I love that we both did shift work, I think the same thing re on your days off and bank and shops haha definitely some perks! (In a funny way it has me wondering if we are in the same job/ or you were but I’ll keep wondering ☺️🫶) but sounds like you are bit of an ‘all rounder’ and can’t do lots, awesome till!!

I’m the same as you started work at 14 and a couple of months and worked ever since. It’s odd to have days off (like sick days) not my style and definitely wasn’t brought up to have sick days either. I have to have forced rest or I’ll just keep on going.

if you ever make curries and I thought about this while at the markets today, Thai egg plants!! Omg so good !! Great in a curry. Taste like not much (lol) but love the crunch and just like them 😅😅, have you even seen or tried them they are like a size of a just bigger than a 50c coin 😊

I am sure you could put these in other dishes not just curries though.
