What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

What have you seen today? ☀️💛🙏

@Bunniekins not too bad. I am just reading through the discussions from October, so I can get to know people a bit better.

How are you going?

@Bunniekins it sounds like you have had it tough. I assume your son no longer lives at home?

It takes a dedicated, loving and strong person to look after a child with disabilities. I have two nieces and one has a child with autism and the other has a child with ADHA. And even though I love them both, I can see how much hard work they are for my niece's.

And they just cope as best as they can.

How old is your son?

@Bunniekins absolutely nothing. I will probably sleep part of it away, as at the moment my sleep pattern is reversed. Most days I do nothing except whatch shows on my phone while I am in bed. As the way I see it, I have nothing to get up for.

Once a week I visit my mum and cat, and pick up my medication. Normally my main outings are either a doctors or therapist appointment. I can't really go anywhere that requires walking as my back is too weak.

I have found the perfect place to go, to start strengthening it, but a new clinic is opening up in January that is closer to me, than where the main clinic is.

I know if I have to drive 45 mins each way to do a 30 minute session of weights, after a while I will get sick of travelling that 3 times a week and I will give up. So that's why I want to wait for the clinic that will only be 20 minutes away, to give myself a chance. I have got to do something as I struggle going anywhere, and my daughter (who lives with her dad) is missing out on doing things and going places with me.

@Mustang67 its tough. i have just started doing workouts with a fitness instructor every tuesday and although i hate it it helps. she comes and picks me up and drops me back. good on you re clinic in January it sounds like a goer for you and you are right you need to make it easy on yourself to keep up the momentum at least i do too.
