It's great that you have found a psychologist that you are happy with and didn't have a long wait time. That's unusual these days. The universe was obviously looking after you.

I went through about six of them before finding a social worker, who gets me, and when I need a kick up the bum because I am not helping myself with my recovery, she doesn't hesitate to give me one. Which is what I need at times. And she gives everything to me straight and there is not beating around the bush with any topics. I suffered with guilt over my partner's passing for 21 years, and she lifted it within a couple of sessions. So, to me, she is my hero.

my highlight today sounds small however turned out to be quite big on a personal leve;.

it is a moment of grounding leading to a quiet mind long enough to allow awareness to smack me upsidr the face with gatitude.

yes geratitude for somethings that are have been there when im struggling just needing attention and will continue to be there when i am unable to see the forest for focusing on the trees.

no shit it wouldnt stop as soon as i rea;ised what im looking at each day out ny window i realised im fortunate then i feklt gratefuk for it then was grateful for lion at mt feet then as i took the picture to share on the forum was grateful for that became grateful for everyone of you amazing people who i wish i was able to help as much as you help me im sorry you all struggle and in the darkest moments i hope you remember nyself and many others anonimously care about you.....

i'm also safe at home. My head is calm and my mood okay, my highlight of today is that my wife will very soon be home from work, and also that i had more than 2 hours extra sleep during the day.

In January we went to a concert who had Bachelor Girl, Killing Heidi, Baby Animals, Eskimo Joe, Wolfmother, Noiseworks & Icehouse playing. I wanted to go to see Wolfmother, but it was great seeing the other bands as well and singing along to the songs while sitting in my wheelchair drinking under the limited shade of a tree.

I can't walk to events like this anymore, so we borrowed a wheelchair. And because I was in a wheelchair, when we arrived, I got ushered straight in, instead of having to line up to gain access. I will be doing the same later this month when I see Angus & Julia Stone, The Cruel Sea, Mark Seymour with Vika & Linda and The Waifs and of course Crowded House, who I love.

On Saturday when my partner returned home from work, he surprised me with these beautiful bunches of flowers. He wanted to help make me feel better after my hospital stay on Friday, He often surprises me with flowers. I am very lucky in that way 😊

@Blackcloud you sounds really optimistic and that is awesome to hear! Having personal experience is a bonus I would imagine for Lifeline. It's definitely a worthy cause and not everyone would be able to do it.
