What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

I'm sorry if it wasnt clear.without a legal representative, well and a Will you do dont get to say who gets your estate, def any Super. Thats what I found out anyways.

and yes, trustee may or may not find some 3rd cousin twice removed to give it to, or just spend it all in the process. I would get a Will, lodge it , get an executor, and a backup, state you want Super to go to 'legal rep'in 'binding nominations' then you can say give to Cats home and know it wil lactually go there and without letting public servants live off it

@TAB all good mate, I wasn't clear either. I am definitely doing a will (already have a lawyer who is reasonable and happy to do it for me) and have nominated a cousin as executor. I will probably leave anything I have to my cousins' kids in reality, but I do want to make sure that I leave some to a chosen charity.

I doubt there will be much left as I plan to spend my super!

Ditto re super @ENKELI in like 10yrs time if still around will be taking out loans against house lol. So long as some thing left for cremation etc ok at least 70% of 2025 house value. It's untapped source of income. Only compound interest makes it a very expensive one .eg can choose to never pay rates again so get extra $40/wk. With interest they prob want half the house in 20yrs lol

@TAB apart from my maternal grandparents who died prematurely, most of my family have lived well into their 80's. My great uncle Harold lived to be 96 and his brother was in his late 80's. I am considering taking up smoking and drinking again to shorten my life lol. I don't want to be too old to appreciate spending money!

My father nearly made 💯 @ENKELI mother 85, her mother and aunts all lived past 90 despite being born around World War 1 lol

Yes if I find out X yrs left will be smoking again lol
