@Bunniekins The funniest thing that happened to me was on a train. I had been talking to an indigenous woman next to me. At a station these 2 young men got on. They were selling tamales and coffee ine of them said to the other pointing at me ‘oh I bet she’s American and doesn’t like tamales. I had great fun answering and the indigenous woman laughed her head off.

@PeppyPatti Pepster my darling you are such a wonderful person. When my two great uncles went into aged care we used to visit them regularly. I would see many people there who were lonely and I did think about working in aged care for a while.

I've also known kids who treat their parents that way too, my ex and his brother were prime examples.

That lady is blessed to have you in her life xo

@GezzaP lolol! that is funny reminds me of when my parents went to paris for their honeymoon after the war my dad was speaking french to the salesperson who was pretending she couldnt understand him so my mother started to speak to her in german (after the war every french person knew a bit of german!) the sales person then started speaking in french to my father .....

Ha ha! @Bunniekins . I just popped outside to prune a plant that was blocking the sun from one of my cacti. I want cactus to flower - it is stunning in flower.

Might pop out and do a bit more pruning. I find gardening very therapeutic.
Right now I’ve got a heat pad on my back and neck because I’ve got a bit of a headache. I find it helps. But the best thing is to keep moving.

Decided to try not to nap so I hopefully sleep better tonight.

Got lots of pruning at this time of year. My gardener did some but didn’t cut one plant back enough so guess I’ll have to do it.

A women’s work is never done.
Next pay cycle I will go to Bunnings to get straw, soil wetter and a few plants. Want a couple of orchids and also for inside a bromeliad and a wolemi pine if they have.

@GezzaP honestly your garden sounds so wonderful and what a work out! you must be as fit as a fiddle so to speak 😄 xx

I’m definitely not fit! Far from it. @Bunniekins With aging comes a loss of strength. I can’t do the heavy gardening anymore. And if I overdo it my back hates me. But I do enjoy doing it. Didn’t rain much so far today. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow too. Maybe it’ll rain overnight. I hope it’s not raining tomorrow afternoon because I have to drive to pick up some plants.

Time for a piece of banana bread. Want a slice?

@DownMoreThanUp I am glad that you got some sleep and woke up feeling good for a change. I am sorry that it didn't last. Hopefully the next time you feel good, it lasts longer for you.
