What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

Oh shit @Mustang67 that would of broken a lot of people you have strength despite your losses I hope your able to continue drawing upon that...

@REDLINEZ750 I used to really dwell on what I have lost, but it put me in a very dark place. But most of the time, I no longer think about it anymore, until I am reminded of it. If anyone brings it up, I cut them very short, as I don't want to hear it, or start dwelling on it again.

I’m 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes to the gully. And 10 minutes to chemist, post office, bakery and small supermarket. It really is an ideal location.

And there is a pub by the beach where I go occasionally for lunch.
Just had lunch, a coffee and did the dishes. Having a break before I make the banana bread. Got one eye on the women’s AFL too.

It’s quite hot here now and unusually humid for Adelaide. Maybe we’ll get a thunderstorm later like a few days ago.

I like to walk on path above the beach to look at the plants on the sand dunes or on the paths in the gully. Have to watch out for snakes. My gardener saw 2 brown snakes in my place last Summer. I’m always noisy in the garden to scare them away. Also have two blue tongues which sometimes breed plus skinks and geckos. The geckos come in the house sometimes. Also have lots of spiders including red backs. Don’t see enough bees, butterflies andvladybirds though.
