What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

sat and read a gardening magazine while cleaner is here doing a Spring clean. @Shaz51 Too tired to garden today. Will do it tomorrow morning. Lamb roast lunch was another highlight. Looking forward to having a clean house. Back so so today. Going to try Chines acupuncture next Thursday. I’ve heard it can be very effective.

@Bunniekins aw Bun Bun that would have been so gorgeous to see! The baby magpies are so cute! Mum used to have Maggies come in to her yard, she would buy mince for them and feed them, even though you're not supposed to of course. A couple of them would eat out of her hand, but would avoid me!
I had a couple of adults in my yard this morning when I went shopping, I love them!

@MissGremlin count me in for the crazy socks thread! I have baby Yoda ones and cat ones, paw print, plus some from the Sydney Olympics that were signed by 2 Olympians. I don't know which ones though!

I have some funny socks too. I have some socks that are designed to be non-identical but the same theme. I would like more but not sure where to get them from. Plus I have waayyy too many socks now.

I saw some lorikeets when I went for my morning walk @ENKELI

Had a Spring clean done this afternoon. Looks good. Got leftovers for dinner. Getting hungry. Just having a drink first.

@ENKELI yes i dont feed these but the parents have introduced their baby to me and i have spoken to it and it knows me. it was so funny cauz the parent first of all brought over a thick stick and spoke to the baby about the stick then the kookaburra moved and the maggie was action stations on that kooka! with the baby and a random australian minor bird behind! 😄

Spud Shed feels like a cross between Coles/Woolies and the Reject Shop to me, @Bunniekins. I love WA. I visited earlier in the year and I'm going back again soon.
