@ArraDreaming @tyme
I was just reading your posts and thinking about what young you might have needed. Reminds me I need to write to my sponsor child. I have been thinking about it recently but not following through. I have bought her some books for Christmas and her Birthday in March. I bought her a Dr Suess one that is called Happy Birthday. She will be 7 next birthday

She lives somewhere in Western Australia. I sponsor her through the Smith Family. Plenty of Australian children living in poverty to help.

I asked for a girl who was 5 at the beginning of the year. I have sponsored her since the 1st of January. The idea is to sponsor her all the way through her studies. My hope is that she will attend university. Education really does break the cycle of poverty

I am sorry that you didn't get the opportunity.
I hope your kids will have a bright future.
I know you work hard for them

School is important try and tell my kids that but also school is so different to how it used to be
That's an invaluable understanding to them @ArraDreaming . It's so important that this message keeps going in. It is well known that the more literate people are, the more opportunities they have to get out of a cycle of poverty etc.
