It's really good that you're looking at both the challenges AND strengths, @ArraDreaming. So often we can look at "difference" as purely being a bad thing. I know you're a gardener, yeah? So I'm sure you're at least a little bit aware of how biodiversity is a good thing for the environment. It's the same for society; having lots of different brains is good for society.
Yeah, it's likely they would have done a few assessments and interviews with you and your caregivers. I don't think there's just one test and sometimes the interviews / conversations actually are the biggest factor in whether someone meets the criteria for a diagnosis. I'll try to find the names of some of the tests, if you want.
I.Q can be interesting to know, but honestly it's not a great indicator of someone's actual intelligence. Just by chatting to you on the Forums and reading your posts I would be surprised if you had a particularly low IQ.
I ALSO can't use a can opener! Why are we like this?! 😤
Re. The tea or coffee thing. I laughed so hard at this! Why do I give tea vibes? I drink both equally, although I get so hooked on caffeine sometimes and need to have a break, otherwise I become dependent on the caffeine and get withdrawal headaches.

I have a whole box of paperwork I obtained from when I was younger and im betting there might be something in there from when I was assessed @0ddsidian but
Im not sure. I haven’t delved that far into it But yeah I guess anything is helpful. I just want intel into me I guess ?
I can’t use a can opener and rely squarely on ring pulls
funmt story, the first night I ever cooked for my now wife the ring pulled snapped on the tin of tomatos
She came into the kitchen and I had a tin of tomato with multiple (TW:)
*stab holes* the in top and an absolute SCENE.
By that point I had already got out the tomato I wanted but she took one look at the tin and the tomato all over the bench and idk how she didn’t run
honestly I would understand if that was a red flag
I still cant use one and every time the ring pull snaps we end back in scenario #1 or I have to sheepishly ask for help (which I refuse)
are a lefty by any chance

Gday @AuntGlow
How are you
You give *I like coffee but exclusively buy it instead of making it at home* vibes

For sure, @ArraDreaming.
The number of times I've done pretty much exactly the same thing is wild haha Sounds like Mrs AD is a good woman. Not sure why, but this feels like a very @Jynx thing to do 🤣 I don't see it as a red flag. It shows persistence! I refuse to buy anything that doesn't have a pull ring. I don't need whatever is in that can SO badly.
I'm right-handed but I do so many things with my left-hand. I write with right-hand though.
I took zero offence to the tea thing. I actually only really drink one type of hot tea (French Early Grey from T2). I like iced tea a lot. My go-to coffee order is generally a large cappuccino with one sweetener, and I WILL NOT drink instant coffee. Typical Naarm coffee snob 😉
