No Market garden event this year as they could not get enough volunteers - so we are going to run our own afternoon stall @ArraDreaming I have just washed my tressle table to set up in the spare room so I can start getting things out for the kids to use to make different things. I cut the timber today for their little cars/trains/boats and will shape them tomorrow. They can then sand and paint them before I put the wheels on. We made them at school for the kids last term and they want to make more for the stall. We will do bird houses again so tomorrow I will cut the shapes for them. We will also make earrings as they are always a good seller and stuffed monster toys. I think we should also make penguins because so many of our kids love penguins so they should go quickly. I have already sewn the hessian scarecrows - the kids just need to stuff them, paint on their faces and dress them up.

Last year we raised enough money to make/buy the things we needed for the costumes so we are hoping to do the same this year as we have very little left in our class budgets @ArraDreaming I have been using a lot of my own art/craft supplies but we need more than I have so the money will help. Anything left over can go to extra class supplies for the kids.

My day was good. I am worn out though. I walked a long way this afternoon. I didn't walk yesterday so had to make up for it today. I am now back on track to make my distance by the end of the month. I am walking for mental health research with The Blackdog Institute.
