They're selling our rental but we haven't been told to vacate i feel scared

On 13th August the owner of our rental property rang and told us they're selling due to separation. I've since been looking for rentals locally and its very hard to find something suitable and that we can afford. We get 3k between us and my mum is on dsp and needs ground floor property. I also have cerebral palsy and hip bursitis at the moment and can't really handle stairs. I have 8 week old newborn and im trying for priority housing but we haven't been given a date to leave only intention to sell. And with that the rent will increase if bought by an investor and we don't want to live here and pay excess rent. I feel stressed because the private rent market is scarce and no properties we have looked at have been reasonably priced or what we want as we want a garage and 4 bedroom. I have a 13 year old and I want her to stay at her local high school.
