@Bunniekins Glad you had a good day. I can’t get photos to work will keep trying. My garden is a series of areas. Veggie patch, natives area, succulents and cacti (I have two areas), wildflowers and herbs. I have some fruit trees in various places and other plants scattered throughout the garden. I’m starting on a fern collection but they’re mostly pricey. I want some orchids too. I have one. I have indoor plants too. Going to take a cutting of one to try hanging in the bathroom. I’m busy in the mornings when I’m at my most energetic. I usually take it easy in the afternoons though I sometimes go for a short walk.

I’m unwinding now @SmilingGecko . Have eaten. Puss is asleep on my lap. I’ve got the TV on. Just going through emails. Today was ok he didn’t come until 12.30pm so I had the morning and lunchtime to myself. Not looking forward to tomorrow when I will have tradies here. I take sleep med and usually go to sleep fine. Sometimes I have trouble going back to sleep when I wake up to go to the loo.

@GezzaP my day has been good. Just looking at ways to stretch the budget today. Saw someone post a toothpaste extruder as a way to squeeze out every last drop. We really are in a recession! Did some research and found a local beef farmer that sells cheaper than the place I was with that had a butcher attached to the farm. Got a place with lower overheads - farm to plate. Just got to find a lamb farmer that does the same thing. Thinking of scrapping my Age newspaper subscription and just read online via libby instead. Its not quite the same though. I also have Prime movies with Amazon that I'm not using. All up it would save me $70/month

Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

@SmilingGecko Yes budgeting is hard but necessary. I have lots of bills in the next few months. I have spent too much as usual while hypomanic it is a bad behaviour pattern i should work against, but it is typical of bipolar mania. I even forget I ordered something when it arrives. Hate myself for this. Should know better. At least I have super to draw on. I get a lifevtime pension but also have a reserve pool of the accumulation component. When I’m 67 I can get a part pension and most important a pensioner card.

Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

@GezzaP I think bipolar creates haphazard behaviour that requires an extra amount of control to try and stop something overtaking your rational capacities. It takes a lot to hold back in the face of a manic high. I've lived with schizoaffective disorder so I know. My MI went into remission 18 years ago and I have not had an episode since but I do understand how you feel. I never had money to spend really but used to keep a spending tracker spreadsheet by my computer which seemed to act as a deterrant in a way.

@StuF they must think you are good at your job if you are getting many hours of work but yes you dont want to over do it either. can you talk to your supervisor about cutting back a bit? didnt you have a new guy who started recently?

i went out with middle son today to cafe he was in a vile mood to begin with but a gigantic cookie and a ice chocolate/coffee soon helped to improve the mood. after dropping him back my support worker and i went home to cook a linner of spag bol which was delicious 😄 been cruising after that.
