Sounds lovely @GezzaP What plants are germinating? I used to have a landlord that was a horticulturist and he was really great with growing things. He really had a green thumb! I could never get ferns to grow but he was always out in the garden pottering around. He was a quietly spoken man. He loved his garden 😊

@SmilingGecko yes I didn't even know he was interested in bees until I posted on Facebook (good old Farcebook!) and he contacted me. He offered me a huge jar of honey he got from the hive but I am not a huge honey fan, plus my brother has purchased several different honeys that will last us well into the next millennium!
It's a shame you have to go the pest control site but honestly, I know what you mean with organisations being unreliable. You try and do the right thing but it's sometimes a losing battle. You need to do what is best and safest for you (and your moggie!) and I would do the same thing if in that situation.
Whenever I've had wasp nests I have used the old Mortein to get rid of them too.
It sounds like there are plenty of bees in your area so it's not like you're killing off an endangered species.
Good luck my friend! If you lived in Perth I'd refer you to my beekeeper friend!

@GezzaP it sounds like it's a sleepy kinda day where you are.
That's terrific that your seeds are germinating, well done! It's so satisfying to see your plants grow and flourish.
It's a nice 24 degrees here in my patch of the valley [edited] without a cloud in the sky. I am feeling motivated enough to create a garden bed and put some of my plants into the ground. I am not sure why I have kept everything in pots, it's my own home so it's not like I'm going anywhere soon!
Of course the Strelitzias and Ficus will stay in their pots - you never want to put them in the ground lol!

@Bunniekins oh well done!
My brother works for a low cost supermarket and they get bread products given to them from the supermarkets. There is always donuts, pastries and croissants donated as well and I have been proud of myself that I have not taken any this past week since I decided to fast from sweet things. Last night I could have eaten a bowl of sugar the cravings were so bad! Instead I had a second...okay third! muffin.
I am not going to fast from sweet things anymore, I was fasting until I got a job and I may have one but besides that my pharmacist told me I should be careful fasting as a diabetic. Something I didn't think about so I am glad I have such a great pharmacist.

I just wish I was motivated to exercise, I know that would help considerably.

@SmilingGecko Lettuces and billy buttons are germinating. Excited about the native billy buttons. Not as surprised lettuces grew.

I’m trying to get back into a normal sleep pattern. @TAB Normally I sleep for 8-9 hours. Have been sleeping only 3-4 hours recently except one night where I actually slept 8 glorious hours. Dinner in the oven. Just about to eat.
