Hello @Historylover its very hard to move in the right circles and have other people whom you feel you can trust. I can understand how you must feel having your life possibly on display when you would prefer more discrete and well considered company. I could do with friendship in my life now. Many of my friends died or just moved on and separated by distance and fate kind of conspired to this situation.

I think many of these articles you mention are very middle class and ignore some of the heavier dynamics at play in someones life. I don't think there is an easy solution to a complex problem. To be honest I have been drifting. I wish I had the answers but I dont. Life used to be so easy when we were younger getting volunteer work and meeting people and making friends. It was simple unambiguous and things just panned out for the best.

I don't think there is much in the way of compassion out there. A psychologist told me it does not exist in society. You only have to look at Gaza today - Isreal bombing the crap out of innocent civilians and the average citizen here is unmoved by it and prefers the sanitization of war or switches to another channel. What do they actually think goes on in a warzone? Do they know?

So I try to be compassionate myself. I don't know anymore Historylover

The bee man has been here tonight and I just shelled out more money. Its covered by warranty so if the bees come back I'm covered but could have done without the expense.

@ENKELI hey hunny we had a tortoiseshell who was my baby lady called Nina and Ginge and they got on really well. i love cats i would definitely get another toiseshell or ginger kitty again. then of course i love rabbits, ducks, chickens, pigs, i need a sanctuary! im just an animal person. 😄
