@SmilingGecko every word you said echoes my sentiments exactly. I wanted to keep Kelly for longer but the vet said that she would only suffer. Had there been another option and I could have kept her I certainly would have.

My crazy cat lady friend actually spent $15 000 on one of her cats. I don't know if I could go that far, especially as she has 7 more at home but she's single, has no major debts so good for her.

It would have to be another very special dog for me to consider another one. I nearly got a Koolie but decided it wasn't fair on the pup as I was working long hours and wouldn't have had the time to give it. When I had Kelly I was starting work at 0415 and finishing at 1230 so I would come home and take her for an hour long walk, plus letting her run around on the oval nearby.
