Morning @SmilingGecko @TAB @ENKELI @Meowmy @AuntGlow @creative_writer 6.5 hours broken sleep here. Was awake for a couple of hours during the night. Waiting for sun to come up. Should drag myself into the shower and go to shop and chemist but don’t feel like it atm. Might put it off for today. Maybe shower or have a bath later when it has warmed up a bit. . Need to wash hair.

Thanks @TAB . Eye surgery is a bit of a bother. Didn’t get all clear to drive and forgot to ask. Put heater on here about an hour ago. Forecast is not good for walking up the street. If I can drag myself into shower might ask neighbour for lift up the shop.

@GezzaP your sister would have met lots of business sharks. A friend of mine ended up getting recruited to Deloittes makes me wonder how he turned out. The big accounting firms can look really sociopathic. The majority of graduates admitted in a survey we did would do insider trading and bottom of the harbour schemes

I know what you mean about going back to bed @TAB . I’ve been nodding off in the arm chair this morning. Also struggling to read in the dark and because I’ve got a new lens in one eye. Surgeon said sight would likely be worse with old glasses ha ha. I’d go back to bed if wasn’t worried about sleeping in day time and not sleeping at night.

My sister worked for state government and then as a private consultant @SmilingGecko . Maybe met some sharks when consulting but most of her work was in government depts.

Cold wet day here today. Dark. Good for catching up on some sleep. Already dozed off once this morning. Probably snooze in afternoon ha ha. Decided to put off showering or having a bath until tomorrow. Can’t see me going outside today.

Cataract means you get a new lens @TAB . They take your lens out and put in a plastic clear lens. Normally they do it in surgeon’s office but because of my high anxiety they had to give me an anaesthetic in a hospital . I have a vague memory of them putting anaesthetic in my eye but don’t remember any of the actual surgery.
Was out of it for an hour or so. They fed me a sandwich, biscuits, and 2 coffees in the recovery room.
