@StuF Aww that’s so sweet.

@TAB Stop ✋🏼 now. Take yourself for a daily walk and hot shower 🚿 In any order.

I’ve got to get off the forum and get some work done.

Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

No worries @Glisten . Yes women own inability to drive since forever. I didn’t presume whether you were male or female if it’s any consolation. I have managed to eat some leftover Indian takeaway I got on Saturday. Unfortunately that was the last of it and I will have to find the motivation to cook again. My fridge needs to be cleared out too, probably have mouldy food in there. I’m a morning person. So won’t get done today.

Are you seeing your psychiatrist this afternoon @GezzaP you will find it better having some real supports in place talking to someone who knows you best ❤️ Forums are great but you need tangible support to get through this episode I feel.

A chelator is something used to get heavy metals out of your body. Its worked for me, I cant afford a psychiatrist. My last shrink bulk billed using a medicare package during covid. I had not seen a shrink in over 10 years prior to that. I was seeing her specifically to come off my meds as directed by GP and switch to another med but in the end after using up the medicare package she said it was impossible to come off that med.

So in effect she was bankrolling medicare and wasting my time. So I had no choice but to work with what I had with my diabetes even though my med caused it.

There are lots of pop up clinics around the place where you can just walk in and get support no questions asked. I think the services are free. The government has created this initiative owing to an increase in mental health issues in the general population. You might want to look it up. There may be a walk in clinic near you if you cant afford seeing the shrink. I dont know what my previous shrink is doing now. I'm quite happy on my own. My MH is stable and has been for a long time. No episodes

Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

@Bunniekins its a difficult question. But in my experience if you have been on them for any length of time like we have its very difficult to come off them [edited by moderator]. Have spoken to people on X who have tried coming off them suffering serious health consequences unrelated to MI as a result. Psychiatrists say this is true. Even doctors themselves dont know how to facilitate medication withdrawal as its a very delicate procedure. I'm still taking mine. Would have liked a different outcome though. The meds used to knock me out at night as I'm a chronic insomniac but now approaching 60 my sleep is very light on. So I'm kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place

@SmilingGecko that really worries me what you say about serious consequences. i have been stopping one of my anti psychotics now for 2 years + i had no idea it affected the whole body so much. I wish i could get off these wretched things.
