..Enjoy @ENKELI have worked with a few oirish over the years
ok how do yo confuse an Irishman ?put him in a room with 2 shovels and tell him to take his pick ..
..did you hear the one about the two gay Irishmen? Patrick Fitzmichael and Michael Fitzpatrick .. was past caring one time and told it to serious big guy from the south who spoke in sing-song when he felt like it.He had to seriously restrain himself.
was little guy on another was mostly happy go lucky except about work he would greet me '@Tab ya cuntyah' (say slowly) .. i would just stare til he told me what he was saying. didnt stop him saying it though. He and his mate would not drink, except night before R.D.O. they would be waiting to get into the Bar at 6am (opened for nightshift), having drunk al night not slept and keep ongoing ..

From wiki .. I got the generic joke ... whereas I always heard it about the Irish... telling it cos I also identify Irish...
from wiki:
Q. How many [members of the target group] does it take to change a lightbulb?
A. Three — one to hold the light bulb and two to turn the ladder around.
But hadnt heard the one for Germans

Q. How many Germans does it take to change a lightbulb?
A. One, we're very efficient but not funny.
Lightbulb jokes applied to subgroups can be used to ease tensions between them.[8]
Some versions of the joke are puns on the words "change"[9] or "screw".[10]
Q. How many psychiatrists does it take to change a light bulb?
A. None—the light bulb will change when it's ready.[11][12]

@SmilingGecko I buy the Coles spring water in plastic bottles for 4.40. I think the plastic is recycled to make shopping bags but I could be wrong.
Thanks for doing the calculations though. I prefer having fluoride in water, my teeth suffered as a youngster in Victoria because there was no fluoride in the water. And now I have to use a high fluoride content toothpaste so I don't mind that.
I need to test the water really, to see what other crap is in it.

@Glisten funny you should choose that song, for 'tis true of me.
Except 'twas me mother she was orange and me father he was green.
I had a supervisor who gave everyone a green 4 leaf clover except me. She gave me an orange one!
Mum was bridesmaid for a couple who got married in the Catholic church in gero. Her groomsman partner, upon hearing who she was engaged to, said that she'd be coming down the aisle of the same church and mum told him no, she was getting married in the Presbyterian church. The groomsman was so horrified he didn't speak to her for the rest of the night.
Fortunately my dad's family loved mum and my nana said she was happy with mum marrying her eldest son in a protestant church.
Religion - the reason wars are waged despite it claiming to want the opposite.

@Realness thanks lovely, dinner was okay, except I had a fight with my mum. I need to accept that she's never going to change and her actions while hurting me are not going to change. It's not done out of spite and I know I am overly sensitive regarding certain things.
I need to take the hurt, forgive and accept things are never going to change.
I hope your week is treating you well xx

takes a lot of emotional maturity to recognize that while her actions hurt, they aren't necessarily fueled by spite.
However, "overly sensitive" is often just another way of saying you have deep feelings………
it’s not your fault my darling friend
