@TAB I have a couple of those since that was my year of birth. I have an uncirculated one and a proof one that is in the Proof coin set that I purchased fairly cheaply. You have to cover all bases for your year of birth. Lol
The 1970 Captain Cook 50c coin is generally worth between 50 cents (circulated) and $50 (proof), with uncirculated and specimen coins valued around $5–$10.
I actually got one of the new $2 coins celebrating 80 years on from WWII in my change the other day. I was so excited. Now I need to put it somewhere that I will remember where it is, when I get a house and start to sort out all of my other coins.
