New Music Thread (for all music, not just new)

@heartathome I don't have a very good memory because of childhood issues, but when I hear certain songs, it takes me back to a place in time and my memories are all there. It has that amazing effect on people. That's what I love about it.

in my 20s and 30s I listened to a lot of music like the. Clash like in 1984 this

fantastic band Big Audio Dynamite (B.A.D.) in 1984. the Wheels a small band that came out of That Australian singer that evades me

That s right Nic Cave. And of course Tex Perkins.
oh The Johnnys. My golly did I just love that band but I wasn’t able to see them play live because I needed support for that.

@PeppyPatti starting guitar 🎸 lessons again. What sort of guitar are you doing your lessons on? How long has it been since you played the guitar?

The only time I played a musical instrument was when I was in primary school and I played the Cello. But I gave it up as I used to have to lug it to school and home on the bus and it was so bulky.

If I had my time again, I would select the violin 🎻 to play. Much easier to carry around. Lol

My daughter did music a couple of years ago at school and they didn't have any string instruments to do lessons on. She ended up playing the keyboard. I don't know if she was any good or not, as she pleaded with me not to go to her concert as it would make her more nervous. So I respected her wishes.

Oops I keep on losing messages my fault.

I started playing guitar at 8 -15 and every now and again I go back to playing and get a teacher etc.

yes I got both sons to play musical instruments my oldest son told me to get stuffed he hates guitar but once when I visited him he had 5 damn guitars 🎸 and he’s playing lol

my youngest got a good base of playing piano until his dad told him he could quit if he wanted to when he was 12 but he plays when he’s feeling strong.

my oldest son just wrote me a slow mail letter. He wrote all my love at the bottom of it
