@Mustang67 well once i was wearing this long maxi floral dress for summer and she said to me without a smile on her face "that is the sort of dress my daughter would wear".... it was totally age appropriate for me to wear it as it showed no skin but was cool for the hot weather. made me feel like crap tbh.

I remember when I was working for some lawyers, my work colleague was wearing a floral dress and she went to one of the partners to get some cheques signed. And he commented that her dress looked like it should be hanging up as curtains.

She was so annoyed that he would even say that to her.

@Mustang67 how rude is that! what makes people think they have the right to say things like that! was he a young or older man? did she ever wear the dress again? i must admit i never wore my dress again. Oh and you will like this she commented at my last appointment saying she approved of what i was wearing. that it was very business like "with my shorter hair etc" ffs made me want to race out and dye my hair purple!

@Bunniekins what right does she have to comment on your appearance. And it funny that you said you want to run out and dye your hair purple, because that is the colour that my social worker has dyed her hair. It actually looks good.

Perhaps you need to tell her to keep her comments about your appearance to herself. I normally dress in the same old black jeans and a t-shirt, with the same old black sneakers every time I have my appointments. Nothing flash here. Plus, most of the time, when I am feeling down and depressed, I don't feel like wearing anything bright, as I don't want to be noticed. So I wear black, as to not be noticed.

But I must admit, that I am feeling a lot better these days, so the brighter colours are coming out. I have a purple shirt on yesterday.

@Mustang67 i wish i could say that i just dont have the courage i suppose to..... i just say nothing.... it is a sagittarian thing we say nothing but we keep tabs.... and when/if the time is right we react. funny you say you have a purple t shirt i have just bought a purple dress! thinking of wearing it today just around the house. i love purple and black together.

@Bunniekins I love purple and black together too. The shirt that I sent through, I have the same shirt in pink, blue and red as well. I love roses, so why not have them in all the colours. A purple dress sound lovely.

@Mustang67 good on you i did the same with a particular dress got it in black, coffee brown and black 😄 oh and khaki green! i'll show you the dress.
