My bro was a huge fan of Joy Division in the 80's while I was listening to Duran Duran and Pseudo Echo. Now that I am older I appreciate Joy Division and New Order myself.

Tragic that Ian loved music yet the fame it brought him is what became his downfall.

Bernard Sumner is a great vocalist but he's no match for Ian.

Dear @StuF 19 years ago, I think in 2005 - I heard him that's " The Boss" being interviewed in Monterey in California and he sounded horrible and rude.

I was under so much stress and having a break from being a mum for 5 weeks.

I left the kids with my ex husband. I never ever should have done that.

At the same time - Tookie - the guy our buddy Arnold Schwarzenegger had been executed by lethal injection. It kind of brought this air of depression in California. .... everywhere, of the unfairness of it all. I felt it at least. Yeah, he was a former Crips gang leader and convicted murderer Stanley "Tookie" Williams. But look at the amount of work he did for children not to join gangs in the bad part of the los Angeles area.

I recall Arnie bought a huge black Hummer car, became the Governor of California. A movie star went to politics.

Hummer cars became very popular.
