Fighting Stigma

Fighting Stigma

Can anyone help or advise how to cope with social stigma around mental health (particularly within services)

I have excessively been insulted and hurt for loving a man who has mental health issues and for having issues myself. Many despise us for having health issues but still love and support each other. To any normal person this is redicious and shouldn't even be a thing but it deeply is for a lot of people here and I'm sure sadly elsewhere too.

Recently an unavoidable service has accused me of nastier things that are even more stupid and demining and it's effected us both.

It all stems from stigma of mental health and the prejudice of this aforementioned service.

Is there anything out there that supports those under siege

from stigma?

Yes I agree. My faith in every single gear against us has been completely obliterated.

The more I try to point out facts and logic the more I learn how much the system is built for it's own evil gains.

Those supposed to help often lie, hurt and even actively abuse you and then gaslights you into thinking it's you. They give ALL the trademarks of abuse then think they get away with charging an innocent man of their crimes and I'm supposed to bow down and accept it. It's byound evil. I am in full agreement that the system is byound broken it's deliberately set up to own and harm and blame and make money from those they make suffer. I truely agree.

After this latest situation I will never trust my country again. They have broken something completely irreplaceable.

Yep, we all have THE right, but around here you don't get your rights. In anything. And I mean ANYTHING!

You do not have the right to freedom, choice, respect, empathy, lawyers, doctors, speech or safety. Or privacy or privacy within personal matters (if you get my point) you don't get the right to speak up and be heard even if you remain calm and polite they still act like you are aggressive.

They do not respect, allow or honour sometimes don't even acknowledge we have the right in question. We are less than dirt to them. That is why I am figitavely screaming my head off in fury. The extent of wrong that this entire thing is, is often not realised by the outside world. Such as yourself who's shocked comment suggests you didn't know how badly they deny us basic rights. And everything else.

I know he wasn't given a lawyer for two reasons, one; a lawyer worth their salt would have instantly asked for the matter to be ajerned (forgive my spelling it's not my strong suit) based on his drastic poor health at the time, he was in no condition to discuss legal aspects or even know his own name at the time and they would not have had the court case be heard without the witness present (aka me) and secondly; because I've been informed by him indirectly so now....they are claiming he was supported that day but the facts suggest if he did (which he didn't) he'd have gotten an incompetent one. I've met the crew there and yeah chances are he did not get legitimate far legal help. I still haven't gotten fair decent legal help for the last three months.

Now for why he can't have one now is because that "invisible" (probably wasn't actually there) lawyer was so lacking in their support that he was railroaded into a guilty plea when he is INNOCENT and now no lawyer wants to effectively question a fellow lawyers incompetence by taking the case, I have continued to try but since I'm not him I am often ignored (because I'm just the victim - even though I'm not) and told if he wants to contest he needs to get a lawyer himself and they send us round and round again. Lawyers I ask to support me say send him to a lawyer then his lawyers say tell her to get a lawyer. Round and Round denying us both from too many rights I could fill a expose book on it (and I will) leaving this to be entirely on my shoulders.

They now just laugh me because I'm not qualified as a lawyer and at times my spelling is bad so they think it's all a big joke that I am trying to win in court alone.

To me it's just more proof that not even the lawyers around here care about the people or justice.

@ForUs88 hearing how much this is weighing on you, and how disillusioned this situation has made you with the whole system. It sounds as though it's often just you against the system at the moment and that must feel pretty overwhelming at times.

What are some things that have been helping you press on? I hope that being able to share here and feel connected and heard has been a source of comfort, no matter how small
