Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi

I have been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, social anxiety, and depression.

I saw a trauma psychologist for 10 months twice a week, but she stopped seeing me when my safety became an issue while processing the trauma.

My symptoms are so bad now I isolate myself in the car everyday to avoid triggers and flashbacks. Unable to go to strange places, talk to people. Just don't belong anywhere. Anxiety so bad I shake most of the time, chest pain and hard to breathe... This isn't living......

I'm too damaged to be helped, I have tried but no one will help me..... They just tell me its too complex and they are unable to help. I don't know what do do I have no support isolated, alone and scared....

Dear Karen @hiddenite

Thinking of you my friend. I'm aware it's now two weeks since you went into the MHU. Have they given you any indication of when you might go home?

Sorry I haven't been posting much. I have been dipping in and out of the forums, mosty reading. I am just exhausted and overwhelmed with too much stuff to do. I have been finding that engaging with all the new services (especially intake) quite triggering and exhausting. I've now engaged with 13 new services/therapists/organisations to get help for the kids &/or myself since the beginning of the year (correction that's 13 where there is an ongoing nature to it, so not counting things like Family First, SOCA, Safe Futures).

I ended up having a complete meltdown in art on Friday, I just couldn't stop sobbing. I've been working on a poem and a piece of collage called Puzzling Pieces. It's my way of trying to explain/externalise what has been stirred up recently.

The river and the mountain are here waiting for you to return. They are very patient. The river is running high with all the rain, and the mountain has already had its first snows for the year. I think it's going to be a cold winter. So keeping the fire burning, but trying not to use much wood. The chair is by the fire, the candle will be lit shortly as I'm having an early night.

Take care of you my friend.

Hope for seeing snow and sunshine endures...

Kindest regards,

Kristin

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hey guy's
thanks for the support.
They are saying another three weeks
no words.
what makes me scared is violent abusive men. Threatening you trying to crack on to me.
They are loud and very scary.
I don't feel safe.
cant talk to anyone or make eye contact.
Having to relive the violence and abuse daily.
The challenge of all the medication.
I spent two and a half hours on the floor last night too scared to sleep because the nightmare are so bad.
Take care be kind to yourselves
I wish I coud see the snow on the mountains and the river.
Karen

Dearest Karen,

I'm SO sorry to hear that. I don't have any words either.

Maybe I can try to take a few pictures and post them on here for you?

Hope for real help endures...

With lots of hugs,

Kristin

PS Here's the Donna Buang snow report page - and if you page down there's a link to the Warby Facebook page. On that there are a few recent photos of the snow.

Hey @hiddenite
Karen it is not fair that you can't access a female only space.. One day it will happen...in the meantime the bonfire is burning, come over for some chai, Horlicks or milo..can anyone post a PIC of snow on a mountain? Take care Karen..we are all cheering you on..

I'm so sorry to hear that. Not a very nice space to be. I really hope that the medication settle soon. Try to tell people if you are feeling threatened by others there. I hope that the medications settle soon and that you get a peaceful sleep soon.

gentle hugs if you want them,

LJ

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

I'm really feeling for you Karen. This kind of thing just shouldn't be allowed to happen. There should be designated male and female areas and in fact there are at, I think, the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. It was trialled and is working quite well. Hope they all become like that eventually.

You're in my thoughts Karen. A speedy exit from that place I hope!

Ellie.
