So overwhelmed need support

So overwhelmed need support

So we managed to organise phsychs for both of us and counseling for our marriage. But im just so tired. I'm tired of the anger of feeling shut out of the lack of communication. I'm trying I really am but I just want to cry and quit all at once.

Could really use a bit of love from someone who gets it.

Sounds so hard @Fullofhope79 . Burnout? Fatigued? Drained?

You've got an entire community behind you.

What do you do to manage your own self-care?

Re: So overwhelmed need support

Firstly that's a fantastic step and not always the easiest to go to marriage counselling. I hope your husband is as open to the idea as you are because feeling like you're forcing someone you love to do something against their will is hard to say the least. Do you feel like talking about wanting to quit? I think wanting to cry is totally understandable. I'm divorced myself and I found my husband at the time did not want to work at our relationship like I did, it was very hard xx

@Archie89 I want to talk about quitting yes. But honestly world without him in it is not something I want to think of.

He is open to counseling yes however im not sure he has the capacity to understand what it means.

I love him. But I miss the man I fell in love with. He was my bestie not who he is now. I'm trying to learn to love a new person.

I think that's a totally understandable feeling to have... you've obviously been together through a lot of changes. I feel it's very positive that you both want to try to understand each other. Be really kind to yourself that you're wanting to work on what might be a really hard task... unfortunately it was a bit one sided in my experience so I feel it's a great sign that he's open to it even if he's not sure what he's in for yet... what else are you doing today that will make you smile even just for a second?

@Archie89 thankyou for such positive words. Today I am painting. I'm an artist and the paint moving over the water always makes me smile.

That's beautiful. I've taken art class and I definitely think it's an admirable talent that I do not possess 🙂 sending good vibes your way
