Friday Coffee and Chat -- 8th August 2025

I'm just working hard on some self care over tonight and tomorrow @Cuddlebear I'm kinda running on fumes at the moment, so trying to fill up the tank a bit.

Trying to unwind after a big week.

Too early to bed, too wiped to do anything. Even watch tv and take it in.

Just spent an hour on the phone was a good way to pass some time.

The week ended better than it started at least. Will wait and see what drama the weekend brings.

Last weekend was a write off with drama.

@NightFury Sending you a lot of healing vibes and comforting energy. I’m glad you are taking the time to invest in self care. You’re worth every bit of it.

@Determined Sounds like it has been rough for you since last weekend. I’m really sorry to hear it and am hoping this weekend brings peace and happy days and no drama whatsoever. Treat yourself to some nice comfort food and self care. 🍒🫐🥭

Lovely to meet you. I create pretty bad art! But I enjoy the process. I do mixed media because I’m not good at painting on its own. I’m doing ok, but my dogs are having issues with each other. So I’m a little stressed about that. How are you doing?

I’ve been feeling low this week. But I cooked chicken drumsticks this arvo and it turned out so delicious and I’m happy about that:))

Right now I’m tiding up my room ahaha

it’s been messy for more than two months since i moved in to my new place lol

@Shaz51 Cleo is a resource guarder, and I thought she would like Zigi (or at least ignore her), but she really doesn't. And Zigi being the puppy she is gets in Cleo's face. Cleo growls and bears her teeth (but doesn't actually bite). In turn Zigi gets wound up and starts barking at Cleo. I've got neighbours and I can't let them go each other so I seperate them. Whoever ends up in the back area of the flat gets upset. Zigi will howl if I put her back there, and I worry about the neighbours. So usually I put Cleo back there. But this stresses Cleo out. She cries and scratches at the door for a long time....and she sometimes thumps the door. This situation is not ideal to say the least. So I'm looking for solutions, up to and including possibly finding Zigi an amazing home. But I feel horrible about this, it would break my heart cause Zigi and I have bonded. But it might be the best thing if I have two stressed out dogs if you know what I mean. In short, I don't know what the solution is.
