@Bunniekins I am the same, can't stand ads! I have had Foxtel on and off since its inception and when it was first available there were no ads. Now there are just as many as free to air.
If I really enjoy a show often I'll buy the DVDs - no ads ever!!

I had to go out in the heat today. Note, Paris has no air-conditioning at the moment. This was the temperature when I started the engine. Paris had been mostly in shade as well.
(I can also see how dusty my interior is!!)
