General chat

Hi @Dimity, new thread with new heading … thinking this might be best.
I now know we both have lots of things off the forums that are on our minds and causing concerns/worries for respective person. Not going into things I’m trying to deal with apart from to say they are causing emotion upsets for me.
Something I don’t want to talk about is plants, flowers etc. sensitive topic due to not knowing when or if I’ll even get garden in backyard.

Your back fence, if prefer I don’t ask about it, Please let me know

i feel you prefer I cease mentioning my physical health issues and upcoming treatments I’m to have, apology if this is not the case.
there are things related to the forums which have left me feeling unwanted and that I don’t belong. None of these relate to you.

here if you feel up to talking

Re: General chat

Hello @Former-Member . Congratulations on the tasks yesterday and the knitting. I hope you enjoyed your quiet time with the beasties today.

Some of my worries relate to things that are compounding with time. There'll be different bad consequences whatever I do or don't do. The counsellor was helping me prioritise and strategise.

I get several medical results tomorrow. I'm aware of some problems but don't know if they need follow-up.

I spent some time trying to catch up in house and garden but didn't get far. I'm pretty tired and the walk to the pharmacy was an effort.

Re: General chat

Was a lovely warm sunny day here today @Dimity

If only alfresco area was secure for the cats.

maybe will get there at some stage.

even with health insurance, these procedures are taking bite out of my bank accounts.

waiting can be the worst thing.
try not to worry tonight, hope for positive outcomes instead

is good you were getting help from your counsellor. Pity certain actions have left you hesitant to continue with that person. Totally understandable. Hoping talking with you gp provides options and eases your mind.

hoping all goes well tomorrow with positive outcomes for the test.

feeling grumpy and annoyed tonight regarding my solar lights …. couple are MIA. So much for living in secure, gated community. It’s not people outside the gates that are the issue and have my questioning my safety. Mixture of things has my questioning my safety plus why did I move

Re: General chat

Yes health doesn't come cheap @Former-Member . I have 2 specialists in a couple of weeks

Sorry to hear about your solar lights. I guessed something like that might have happened. Here a couple of neighbours have put up cameras.

The gp said what happened with the counsellor wasn't my fault. Now I guess I'll have to work out what to say to the counsellor.

The test results all came back as things I'll have to live with. Much as I'd expected.

Meanwhile more paperwork has come in. I'll try to tackle some tomorrow. Some of it is at a stalemate unless/until I find the right forms. I asked a couple of professionals for help but they didn't bother.

The wind here has been awful. But it's been quite warm.

Re: General chat

@Dimity I’ve got one security camera which I’m having some problems with. Need a 2nd to cover entire front. Maybe doorbell camera also.

Information I was given by BueKnot, nothing wrong with putting feelings etc in writing and give to whoever.

was very windy here plus warm. 2nd consecutive day I haven’t needed to put jacket or jumper on. Rain predicted overnight plus later in the week.

lazy day today, trying to avoid housework that won’t get done by itself.

hoping the forms you need are easy to find. So many things available on internet nowadays

Im bit concerned about health related item. Will see gp if things don’t settle. Hoping not to have to see one of my specialists and another, out of hospital, day procedure by him

I sorted out things with psychology firm and claim lodged with health insurance. Email received from Legal Services Board, next step is lawyer to be contacted by them.

Re: General chat

@Dimity @AuntGlow I’ve not been well today, sinus headache.

concentrating on other things whilst trying to ignore the pain I started thinking back to psychologist appointment on Friday ….. that’s when it registered I had started zoning out and she totally missed it.

my psychologist can be a broken record. Explains one item over and over and over. This is not first time it’s happened. Frustrating thing is she knows she does it. Last time it happened I told her if it happened again I wouldnt be back.

Atm dont know which way to go.

Re: General chat

Sinus headaches can be bad. Hope it eases soon @Former-Member .

Some people use dummy cameras as a deterrent.

Wonder why your psychologist feels the need to repeat. I need to get back to my counsellor too.

Got drafts from the solicitor. He left stuff out on one matter and got another completely wrong despite my trying to spell it out to him.

I spent the afternoon sorting papers and trying to get further ahead with it all.

Good luck with your legal complaint.

Re: General chat

@Dimity From what she said earlier this year, it’s part of her nature that her adult kids bring to her attention quite often. Has told me she is 100% ok with me bringing it to her attention. Impossible to do when your already switching off and don’t realise it.

we were talking about grief. Realised this afternoon when she started saying the same words for 3rd time was like I was hearing through fog. Know at the time I was getting more upset.

im waiting to see if she remembers next month to bring to the appointment book she has said I can borrow, 2 consecutive appointments so far she has forgotten.

with mix of few different things I saw my patience and part of my trust walk out of the room before appointment was finished.

draft from solicitor is good start. Shame all the rework that needs to be done.

feeling angry at everyone and no one tonight.

taking the cats and going to bed

Re: General chat

I can understand your loss of patience @Former-Member . When people have done it to me I just say "yes, I understand " and when that hasn't worked I've paraphrased what they've been repeating back to them.

My counsellor didn't follow through on something she promised a couple of times and didn't apologise or explain when I reminded her so I wondered if she'd been gaslighting. Maintaining trust seems a leap of faith sometimes.

Re: General chat

@Former-Member I've written a stiff email to the counsellor. I'm willing to give her another chance but I'm very disappointed.

I just realised I didn't walk today... a sure sign I'm not myself. I'm actuaĺy very tired after dealing with the mistakes of the super fund, solicitor, and counsellor, and filing statements etc relating to my bank complaint. The paperwork continues.

Re: General chat

@Dimity few weeks ago you wrote about having given up on bank complaint and having accepted payout.
are you continuing with the bank complaint?

if yes, is that a good option?

Trust has to be earnt, it doesn’t just happen. when trust is shattered, or partially broken, it’s not easy to retain it or rebuild it. With things on and off the forums, my trust in certain people has been heavily tried and broken during last couple months
