Something’s not right

My daughter

My daughter

Hi

We're moving to Cairns on the 23rd of August and living with my partner.

I've started the enrolment process and have secured a tour in a few weeks.

My daughter however is refusing to move. She acts out and at times verbally and physically hurts me.

We have no choice as my parents are looking to move. I don't know what to do

Re: My daughter

Hi @Blossom41

That's a really hard position to be in. How old is your daughter?

I hear you not knowing what to do in this situation which is very understandable. Do you feel as though there are some options available to you, or is it more about there being only one option: we all move, but finding out how to make that work?

I wonder if you've ever reached out for support about your daughter before? Parentline is a great resource when you're wanting some parent-specific support

@Ru-bee

She's 11, turning 12. Yes, we do need to move. Better opportunities as I've found a school to suit her needs as she's been refusing school.

And it will help with my mental health and hopefully we can both connect more.

Im speaking to a CSO tomorrow to see what my options are.
