it's so frustrating when people come outside of the given hours!! i would've been stressed out too, i need my 'mental prep' time. sounds like you pushed through okay? @NightFury how long is the course you're studying?

@rav3n @AuntGlow The first thing I said to her was..."oh, the time on the email said between 1.15 and 3.15 pm. I haven't finished tidying up yet." It probably came across as rude, but I don't like it when someone throws a spanner in the works and my plans and expectations for the day changes without time to prepare. I let her in, she walked through, took some photos, said she didn't know what I was worried about, the house was "spotless" and left again.

The course I'm studying - Child and Adolescent Mental Health - is 8 months, but it's made up of four seven week units. We're in week two of the Mental Health Foundations unit. I've completed the Trauma Informed Care unit and the Child and Adolescent Engagement and Assessment unit. It's the Grad cert. But, after wards we can decide if we wish to continue on with the Masters. I don't know what I want to do yet. My goal is to just get through each week of study, each assessment, each unit.

hey @Cuddlebear sorry to hear it's been one those days that nothing brings you joy. they really suck, but i'm glad you're here with us. i hope that things start to brighten up 💗

@NightFury totally get that, sounds like you handled it pretty well! if anything, the person showing up early without warning was rude, glad you said something about it. at least you got the "spotless" compliment out it.

that sounds like a really interesting course! are you liking the content so far? the timeline of the course does sound pretty packed. it's nice that you've got some options for when you do finish the course.

Some of the content has been tricky @rav3n with my own triggers and it's been really hard to balance work, study and my own mental health. I also haven't really been successful in reaching out for support with the course.

But, I'm wading through it.

Sounds like a difficult day @Shaz51, though I guess maybe 4am is a little better than 2am? Still not great, sending you hugs

Nice of hubby to buy you a plant! What sort of plant is it?

@AuntGlow Yes it is so scary and what makes it worse is that I’ve reached out to every housing related service with no real success. I’m so alone all day every day and it’s a hard place to be. I’ve lost hope and nothing I do that I used to do brings me any joy. I’m struggling to do the bare basics and not able to look after myself. I can’t afford to see my psychologist and I’m just really lost.

Having people to talk to here is a life saver. I just don’t know how to treat this feeling of utter despair and hopelessness. Nothing is working and I don’t have the $$$ on a pension to get paid help.

@Shaz51 It’s terrible not being able to sleep and to have pain. Do you have a lot of pain that prevents you sleeping?

I am really glad you were able to muster up the strength to have the X-ray. It’s really lovely thwt hubby purchased a plant for you. What type of plant is it?
