Dear @Adge
Just found this!
Never too late as the saying goes?!?
Did bring a smile though. Thank you
That dry humour of yours.
I understand the lack of energy and this style of communication is hard.
No matter how often is always appreciated.
Take care Adge

Hello @Adge
Lovely to hear back from you.
Time does not matter with those people who come into our lives who make a difference.
Am I well?
Hmm having medical testing cycle and getting nowhere. Ready to give up and let my body do it's own thing.
Mind wise I am wading through the debris of a backlog of grief and loss from way back that landed.
Making headway and learning more.
Leading to more questions where I am always at my best.
I enjoy self exploration always have.
I love my environment and am almost blending with it now. It helps so much. I relate more to the environment than people now.
My boys and husband are still important to me of course. That will never change.
My approach to life is changing constantly which is a good thing even though does present challenges.
How about yourself?
What keeps you enthralled or active these days?
Sophia

Hi @Sophia1 I'm sorry to hear about your medical testing cycle not giving you any helpful clarity or medical assistance.
Wishing you well, & hoping that this may change for the better for you soon.
I've recently been approved for the Disability Support Pension (some months ago).
I've just lodged an application for NDIS support (yesterday), with mountains of OT & Psychologist's Reports (close to 50 pages worth).
I'm having to swallow my pride with this NDIS thing - As I really need or could do so much better with support. Yet seeking such support leaves me feeling belittled & incompetent or totally inadequate.
Sorry I'm out of energy, so cannot come up with any more words tonight.
More another time....
You are the first person I've told about my NDIS application, by the way....

If you are feeling drained and exhausted.
Read my monologue another time.
It takes me so long to reply anyway.
In your time.
I am pleased to hear that you now have the disability pension as you are someone who tried so very hard to work despite your health condition.
The ordeals that you went through was outrageous.
All in the past now.
The title of the pension is heavy and hopefully does not affect you.
I'm having to swallow my pride with this NDIS thing - As I really need or could do so much better with support. Yet seeking such support leaves me feeling belittled & incompetent or totally inadequate.
It is a shock when our working life changes and financial situation needs to be readdressed.
Your feelings are real and yours.
I will say to you though.
People are not given disability pensions lightly. Much paperwork medical reports as you know.
NDIS is even more stringent and hard to come by when warranted.
I know of people who have been pushed to their tether trying to get referrals even.
50 pages well we are talking government. Remember the census debacle??
What about the training for the lollipop job. Government have to justify their roles and create forms forms and more forms in an effort to back up where the buckets of money go.
Best not start me on that.
Please hold your head up high. You have an entitlement to these services and payments as having been assessed. You did not choose this. Life turned out this way for you. It is not the end though.
This might offer more opportunities for having supports to take you out and meet with others if you still so wish. You will also get help where you need it most.
Please do not feel belittled in the least, or incompetent and inadequate.
You are still accomplished Adge with your horticulture degree. That will never change.
This is just a new pathway for you. Yes there is adjustment but perhaps new beginnings are on the horizon for you.
Hopefully you have a provider or someone to assist you with the application to use the correct wording.
Bye for now
Sophia

@Sophia1
I like how you come up with (remind me of) positive support opportunities that may come from NDIS (if successful).
Also seeing it as a new pathway, with new beginnings on the horizon (perhaps)....
Yes I've had some short-term assistance with completing the NDIS Application.
I'm not sure if we got the correct wording (or not).

Hello @Adge
I am pleased to read that you liked my comments.
Laugh about the "correct wording".
I have just heard that "they" look for answers to be worded in a certain way. Government jargon..
They probably do not even know themselves as each would interpret answers differently anyway.
From what I have heard people just keep on reapplying which logically explains to me why it takes so long?!?
I just feel that you are already on a new pathway having got this far.
New doors opening.
Let me know when you hear the good news.
