Re: Everything Birds
And I always thought they were doves, because they coo, doves kind of burgle. We discussed this before, I'm still not convinced lol

Re: Everything Birds
@Former-Memberthanks for sharing this, you've given me the idea of going to YouTube to find out more about birds, there's lots on there! Ours are fairly similar to these, maybe a bit larger with yellow/greenish under the wing. Sometimes red too.

Re: Everything Birds
You're welcome Bezak 😊don't think I've seen anything like you describe... interesting 🤔 There's so many birds. I enjoyed a Storm Bird calling last week, like an old friend visiting. They call out a day or two before a storm, or change in weather. They seem to know when the barometer drops. It a haunting call, kinda sad:

Have you ever googled 'Bird Symbolism' ? That's a whole new level... but not very scientific lol
Hope you have a good day 💙🐦💙🐦💙,🐦💙🐦

Re: Everything Birds
Wow @Former-Member Thank you. That was them. The purple was not quite as prominent as the picture but it is the right shape and size of bird, which seems the important point in birding, and tuft. Top knots huh! lol @Faith-and-Hope @Adge
and @Shaz51 is a great birdy person.
See how wonderful you all are, helping me out before the great giant grump google could help me.
Hoorah!
Made my day!
I will stick to the scientific tho, as many falsely applied symbolic rationales have hurt me and my family. I see great potential in all those archetypes etc, but they need to be used wisely and honestly, not presuming what they dont know. Cheers have a good day all.

Re: Everything Birds
@Former-MemberThanks for the bird link! We actually have Koels I think, I'm not sure if it's global warming or other reason but they've been around more in recent years, might be coming down from the north. Thanks again!

Re: Everything Birds
Haha @Bezak482, the lures bird is amazing. That first sound, Mum had a similar sounding bird at her place sometimes, but I could never spot it up in the folage. Thought it was a small bird. Similar little blackbird (Orange beak) at Orange made that sound too. Loved it. Wonder which is the real lyre birdcall? Can't believe how he can mimic the big kookuburra laughing call, amazing... and the sirens... what a lark!! LOL
Thanks for this 😀👍

Re: Everything Birds
Hi al Everything Birds
Has anyone noticed that sparrows are rare - even if they are with us at all
Someone mentioned this to me recently and of course - the Dawn Creation has not been quite the same without them
They used to be everywhere - their decline might be due to our keeping our cities and the areas around our homes free of food waste to discouraged vermin
And they used to be everywhere
